PROFILE

Chantal-Andrée studied at the Art Students League of New York from 2000-03: oil painting with Mary Beth McKenzie, Peter Cox, and Robert Cenedella, drawing with Costa Vavagiakis, and artistic anatomy with Peter Cox and Frank Porcu. During this period, she received special recognition and honorary mention for works in the class shows of Robert Cenedella (Keeping the Streets Safe!), Peter Cox (Nude Study in graphite), and Mary Beth McKenzie (Robert).

Currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Chantal-Andrée is studying part-time at the Academy of Realist Art.

Chantal-Andrée has been active in the visual arts for many years. She studied Fine Arts and Art Education at the University of Ottawa, and subsequently taught Visual Arts at the secondary level. After completing her Masters of Education, she left teaching to study figurative painting, and pursue a career as an artist.

Her husband, Robert Rival is a concert music composer.
