Thanks Brian! It was nice to have a standing pose and Ezster held it beautifully. Thanks for showing me your latest work and I hope to see both the portrait drawing and the figure work in person! Both are wonderful.

Hi Chantal;
Great to work beside you today. Your drawing is considerably better than mine. Well done. You really caught the bulk and weight of the model much better than I did. Hope to work beside you again soon.

Hello,
I am looking for life drawing sessions around Toronto. I used to go to the TSA weekend drop-in sessions, but cannot find any information about them now. Do they still run them?
I'd appreciate any info you can provide.

Hmmm... drawing and not ever failing! I love that idea! But the truth is that it's often through failed drawings that we improve. One step back often leads to two steps forward. And it's why I stayed for the afternoon session in spite of my bad morning.

Hi Chantal
Always great to see your drawings on your blog. I know exactly what you mean about the 'bad' days. There are times when I feel that I need to be re-trained - especially if I have been away from it for a week or so. But, we must remember it is an art, not a science. I don't think I want to get to the point where I can draw and not ever fail. Where's the fun in that?
Keep working at it and the fun will continue.

'ello chantal!

what a surprise! i've stumbled upon your website. i just wanna say that browsing through your site makes me realize that i just barely scratched the surface of figure drawing. your drawings are amazing and i can almost feel the energy in them. its very insipirational to me too- truly! you're educational background alone is very intimidating, heheh. i'm not worthy! can't wait to see more masterpieces. see you at school.

Hi Chantal;
Wonderful drawings today. The gestures of Denise are liquid and really capture her spirit, and the longer pose of Sara has excellent volume and great proportions. Well done!
