I missed the drawing session this morning (forgot about the time change). But here is the drawing of Lidia from this afternoon. I’m trying out a different technique, inspired by Mark Tennant as described in this month’s Drawing magazine.

I love to draw Murray, both for his build and his gestures. His unique way of moving creates subtle shifts between his active and passive sides that are incredibly challenging. It’s also difficult not to get seduced into drawing too much anatomical information with him too. Here are some of my efforts from the morning session, with poses of 5 min, 1 min, 10 min and 20 min.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been to life drawing, and I was itching to get back to it. I love to draw Ben who gave us great gestures, as always.
